Sidewalk Astronomy in New York: Union Square

December 8, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - December 9, 2018 @ 10:00 pm

Come experience the eVscope in December from downtown New York, thanks to the help of our friends from New York’s Amateur Astronomers Association. On the 7th of December, Franck Marchis, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute and Unistellar’s Chief Scientific Officer, will give at the Americam Museum of Natural History a talk entitled ““Another Pale Blue Dot: The SETI Institute’s Search for Exoplanets”.

After the lecture, around 8:30 p.m. on the 7th of December, the Unistellar team will demonstrate the eVscope’s latest prototype in front of the AMNH 77th street entrance.

On the 8th and the 9th of December, the Unistellar team will install an eVscope prototype on Union Square north side. Meet us around 8 p.m. for a sidewalk astronomy demonstration.
