San Francisco: Observe Galaxies and Nebulae From the USS Hornet’s Flight Deck

July 19, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm

The USS Hornet served as the recovery vessel for the Apollo 11 & 12 lunar landing missions—the spaceflights that landed the first humans on the Moon nearly 50 years ago.

Now a Sea, Air and Space Museum, the USS Hornet organizes on July 19th a Splashdown 50 Stargazing Overnight event, celebrating Apollo 11.

Unistellar will attend this celebration, demonstrating an eVscope from the flight deck of the USS Hornet, a unique location to observe galaxies and nebulae!!

Including Dr. Franck Marchis, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute and Unistellar’s Chief Scientific Officer.
